I recently heard that Victorians believed that pornography was only for a select few. You’ve heard of RedTube, right? Well, if you don't, RedTube is a general videos site. Hence RedTube does not specialize. Instead, it offers a little something for everyone's taste.
Like most of its competitors, RedTube uses user-uploaded content. Because of this, the length and the quality of the videos can be fairly inconsistent. Without waiting any longer, it doesn't spoil anything to reveal that all in all, RedTube is a nice site. In a nutshell, it still has a lot to offer.
RedTube has adopted a "Freemium" business model. Most of its videos are free, but a paid "Premium" offer allows you to remove the ads and gives access to some exclusive content. Now, we will take a closer look at what this site has to offer.
Site features
For starters, we are going to see what the site looks like. Each time I visit the home page, the first thing I see is how pleasing the design is. The site is easy to navigate and well organized. The colors are well chosen. The look and feel is modern and cool. A perfect example of a porn site done right.
When you hover above one of the images, it shows you a fully animated clip from the video. I love to take a peek before loading the full video page. It is super convenient!
The media player is very nice. Okay, so what's so nice about it is the fact that it loads the video very fast. Furthermore, when I was streaming the videos I didn't get any errors either.
During my visit, I noticed a few ads. To RedTube's credit though, RedTube doesn't throw thousands of ads in your face when you move your cursor. So, all things considered, RedTube is definitely not the worst site I have been to as far as ads are concerned. Still unnecessary and annoying, sure, but whatever.
The webmasters of RedTube have made it available in nine languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Polish and Russian.
Without transition, let's have a look at the search features: all the functionalities that make it possible for you to find something on the site.
For starters, we have the search box. You can use it to ease the navigation and find your favorite kind of porn quickly. Unfortunately, the search box implements the OR operator by default. With the OR operator, each result contains at least one keyword. This will reduce the precision of multiple terms searches. In addition, Filters length and video-quality let users reduce the number of videos in the search results. You can sort by relevance, upload-date, rating, length and views.
Users can browse categories if they aren’t looking for something too specific but, alas, there is no tagging system in place. Moreover, there are user-built playlists.
In short, I would say that searching on RedTube is ok if what you are looking for is not too specific, but finding the porn that you want can sometimes be more difficult than expected. Stick to simple searches and you should be fine though.
RedTube content
Search and design do matter a lot. While this may be true, without content, there is nothing to fap on.
As I said in the intro section, RedTube does not specialize in a particular porn niche and, for the most part, its content is made up of clips of various lengths. In addition, the site offers Straight, Gay and Shemale content.
Well, the video quality is insane. Much better, actually, than on most porn sites. You will find a lot of premium videos in the content of RedTube. And who doesn't love premium quality porn? Furthermore, some of the videos are available in high-definition.
About the length of the videos, this is like on many other porn tubes sites. Clips of various lengths, and even some occasional full scenes and movies, even if it is not the most common thing in here.
Their collection of content is large enough. You should be able to find just about everything you could possibly want.
Is RedTube a good site?
Overall, I would say that RedTube works just fine.
It has an excellent media player, an elegant design, high-quality porn videos, tons of sorting options, and a reasonable amount of ads. However, its main drawback is the lack of tagging system.
Now, the big question is: is this website worth paying a visit to? Well, even if it is not perfect, this website still manages to give you a great experience. But don't take my word for it and see for yourself!
